Driftwood & Tide - A Coastal Creative Experience at The Atlantic, Polzeath - 8th May 2026

There’s something different about Polzeath when you slow down enough to really take it in.

The movement of the water.
The texture of the shoreline.
The way the Atlantic stretches endlessly in front of you.

This experience is an invitation to pause inside that feeling.

Join me for a relaxed, guided creative session at The Atlantic, where we’ll be painting directly in front of one of Cornwall’s most iconic ocean views. Using driftwood and tactile, reclaimed materials, you’ll create your own textured coastal piece - inspired by the landscape right in front of you.

This isn’t about being “good at art.”
It’s about reconnecting - to the ocean, your creativity, and a quieter pace for a couple of hours.

We’ll keep things simple, sensory and grounding, with gentle guidance throughout so you can fully switch off and enjoy the process.

Your experience includes:


– A 2-hour guided driftwood painting session (2pm–4pm)
– All materials provided, including driftwood and textured elements
– A drink to enjoy during the session (soft/tea/coffee)
– 10% off lunch at The Atlantic before we begin - the perfect way to ease into the afternoon

Come early, have lunch overlooking the sea, then settle into an afternoon of creativity with the sound of the waves in the background (please note - ticket does not include lunch, just the exclusive 10% discount to use. You’ll leave with a piece that holds a memory of the day — something tactile, personal, and quietly connected to this place.

FAQs – The Art of Being - Evening Session

Do I need to be good at art to come?
Absolutely not. This session is designed for all levels — even if you’ve never picked up a paintbrush before. The focus is on connection, expression, and restoration, not perfection.

What should I bring?
Just wear comfortable clothing suitable for painting.

Where do we meet?
We’ll meet from 6.30pm at Tallo within SeaSpace ApartHotel. The full address and directions will be provided in your welcome email the week of the session.

Can I come alone?
Absolutely. Many guests attend solo and these sessions have been thoughtfully designed to feel warm, inclusive, and connection-focused. You’ll leave feeling creatively and emotionally nourished — and possibly with a few new friends too.

Terms & Conditions

Booking & Payment
Full payment is required to confirm your space. Tickets are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cancellations & Refunds
Due to the nature of this boutique retreat, tickets are non-refundable. However, if you can no longer attend, your booking is fully transferable — you’re welcome to gift or resell your ticket. Please notify us of any name changes in advance.

Changes to Schedule
While every effort will be made to deliver the retreat as described, we reserve the right to make slight adjustments to the schedule or facilitator team due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. extreme weather). In the rare event of cancellation by the organiser, a full refund will be issued.

Photography
Photos may be taken during the retreat for promotional purposes. If you’d prefer not to appear in any images, just let us know on the day — we’ll absolutely respect your wishes.
