CREATIVE EXPERIENCES
Location: Melancoose, Colan, Newquay

Paint, then sauna, hot tub and cold plunge in the woods
Sundays were made for this. Join me for a slow Sunday morning, tucked away in the peaceful woodland valley at Melancoose, just two miles from Newquay. We'll spend two unhurried hours making textured Cornish landscapes, then wind down in the woodland spa.
You told me you wanted more time to create, and this is my answer. The Creative Reset Club Sunday Session gives you a full two hours of painting, so you can properly lose yourself in the process, followed by an hour in the woodland spa to let it all settle.
The Morning:
☕ 10am – Arrive & settle in
Grab a tea or coffee and a little something sweet, and find your place at the table in The Barn, Melancoose's beautifully restored wood mill.
🎨 10am – 12pm – Textured Landscapes
I'll guide you through my own textured painting process, building layers of texture paste, sand and natural materials to capture the rugged Cornish landscape: windswept headlands, rolling fields, wild skies and the soft light of a late autumn day. We'll look at layering, mark-making and expressive colour, so your painting feels like a place rather than a picture of one. Your painting is yours to take home.
No prior experience needed, ever. This is about play, presence and giving yourself permission to create.
🔥 12pm – 1pm – Woodland Spa
Head down into the trees for a full hour in Melancoose's woodland spa, moving between the wood-fired sauna, the hot tub, the cold plunge and the fire pit. It's the perfect way to close a creative morning: warm, restored and quietly buzzing.
1pm – Head home feeling lighter, with your painting under your arm.

In March, Porth is at its quietest. The beach is often near-empty, and the light is clear and low with the first signs of spring on the headland. 11.30am – Ocean connection walk to absorb the beach and gather artifacts
I will take us on a guided walk down to Porth beach, helping us to connect, observe, and absorb the ocean in front of us.

Tuck into a delicious buffet-style lunch curated by Tallo — a vibrant Italian-American fusion restaurant at SeaSpace. Expect fresh, flavourful, and deeply satisfying food that fuels you for the creative afternoon ahead. (Vegetarian & Vegan options available)
🎨 2pm – Driftwood Painting
I'll guide you through a 2-hour driftwood painting session inspired by the coastal textures and colours around you — with the option to explore ocean sunset tones if you wish. Using natural materials and expressive techniques, this creative practice is all about freedom, connection, and self-expression. No prior experience needed, ever.
🍹 4.30pm – Spa session with Saunassa Spa at the Health Club
Finish the day with a one-hour Saunassa Nordic spa experience — moving between the warmth of the sauna and hot tubs, invigorating ice baths and moments of rest, leaving you feeling refreshed, restored and rebalanced.

Yes — most items will allow you to add a different shipping address at checkout. I always take note of that and will triple check with you if it is a gift before sending. The only items that won’t let you add a separate shipping address are the ‘Mini Art Subscription’ and the Gift Certificates. For those please purchase with your billing details, then email me at hello@gemmalessinger.com to pass on the recipients details. I’ll take care of everything else.

I usually post available paintings, jewellery and gift certificates within 2–3 working days. Limited edition prints do take up to two weeks if adding hand embellishment. If you’re in a rush, email me and I’ll see what I can do.

10cm x 10cm x 2cm wood board
Textured mini seascape painting focusing on swell at Fistral beach. The 3d wave has been sculpted using pieces of ghost fishing net and rope mixed through the paint, as well as grains of sand from the shoreline. This piece also has vintage lace in the ocean water, depicting the delicate beauty of the sea.
Each piece comes unframed but can be hung directly on the wall as is.
They look great as sets so take a lot at the others on offer!
