“During my 10 days at The Hatchery I was completely transfixed by the view, watching the tide gradually flow in and out of the estuary, unveiling the ever changing sand banks. Those sand banks are what I wanted to focus on for the three parts of ‘Estuary Views’” Gemma Lessinger

From her pop-up studio at The National Lobster Hatchery in Padstow, Gemma Lessinger presents the second in this trio "Estuary Views Part 2," a tactile exploration of the Camel Estuary's serene beauty.Crafted on a 30cm x 30cm wood board, this piece uses acrylics combined with reclaimed, upcycled materials, such as offcuts of surfboard fibreglass and end of line tea bag paper from a local tea company. This technique echoes the artist's commitment to sustainability and the environment.
