Wave Watching at Crantock was born from a moment on the sand dunes — sun warm on skin, salty air in every breath, and that steady cadence of surf rolling in just over the ridge. This piece holds that rhythm: the gentle rise and fall of wave shape rendered in rich texture and layered depth, created with repurposed fibreglass offcuts from surfboard manufacturing that give the surface its tactile presence.
Here, the sea isn’t stormy; it’s meditative. Watching the waves from this vantage feels like a slow exhale — an invitation to pause, to settle into the quiet, to let the sound of the surf fill the room without a single note.
