This 3d textured wave beach painting has been created as part of a set, capturing the moment a peeling waves rolls into the shoreline at Lusty Glaze, the texture created using upcycled offcuts of surfboard fibreglass from a Newquay surfboard maker.
I have also incorporated fragments of ghost fishing net that has washed up on the Cornish coastline, mixing it through her pigments to create rigid texture.
The sandy shoreline in this piece incorporates a sprinkling of sand from Lusty glaze beach itself, meaning the painting is infused with the essence of this beautiful place.
