The colour of the water in the summer at Crantock beach is the most beautiful shade of turquoise. No photo does it justice so I wanted to try to portray it in this painting.
The 3D depth in the rocks in this piece are created using sand and the largest breaking wave uses re-purposed fibreglass from surfboard manufacturing to create height and momentum.
