'The Power of Polzeath' x Nalu Beads Bangle and FREE A5 poster

£40.00

The second collaboration between Cornish Artist Gemma Lessinger and Nalu Beads.

Nalu design and create all their handmade glass beads in their studio in Braunton, North Devon. They use ‘Venetian Murano’ glass, the best in the world, to make their beads. It is renowned for it beautiful reactions when melted, it’s beautiful lustre and longevity.

Gemma worked very closely with Nalu to recreate her painting 'The Power of Polzeath' into one of their iconic glass beads. Two thirds of this bead are made with turquoise glass, the other third a two toned Ivory glass. This two toned ivory creates the dark brown swirls in the bead, representing the rocky shore in my original painting. White crushed glass, or frit, is then rolled around the centre of the bead to give the affect of the white water. The bead is then tumbled to give the glass a frosted finish.

The bracelet itself is a stainless steel bangle, which is strong and durable. One end of the bangle unscrews so that you can add further beads if you wanted to. The bangle comes with a set of stainless steel stoppers to hold your bead in place.

Every bead is individually handmade so each one is unique in its finish.
