As the last light fades, the ocean deepens — shifting from gold to indigo, from movement to quiet strength.
Woven Current explores the beauty within that darker, reflective moment — when the light fades but the tide is not quite at rest. Layers of vintage denim and my grandmother’s tablecloth are interlaced within the composition, their fibres echoing the textures of water and memory. The crest of the wave is sculpted from surfboard fibreglass, creating a tactile contrast between softness and power.
