'Beneath the Stillness' Original Textured Painting

£3,000.00

90cm x 60cm x 5cm | Mixed Media on Canvas | White Handmade Tray Frame

“Beneath the Stillness” is my expression of that glorious underwater world at Porthcurno — the moment you dive beneath the surface and find yourself surrounded by merging tones of turquoise, teal, and deep blue. Light filters down through the water, dancing across the sandy ocean floor, evoking a sense of serenity and wonder.

This piece is layered with acrylic paint, sand, and upcycled fabric to create texture that feels alive with movement. At the top of the canvas, a fragment of my grandmother’s old tablecloth forms the surface patterns — a deeply personal nod to her encouragement of my creativity. The midsection incorporates surfboard fibreglass, a reminder of Cornwall’s surf culture and the ocean’s power, while the sandy shoreline at the base is built from an old pair of Levi’s jeans. If you look closely, you can still see the belt loops and back patch woven into the landscape, forever part of the piece.

This original artwork is framed in a white, handmade tray frame, ready to hang and designed to bring the tranquillity of the sea into your home.
