Why Everything I Create Is About Connection

If I had to distill everything I do — the art I create, the experiences I host, and the mentoring I offer — into one word, it would be connection.

Connection to the ocean — the kind that calms your nervous system with just a glance. That brings peace, presence and a quiet remembering of who you are.

Connection to your creativity — the ability to express something beyond words, to lose yourself in colour and texture, to release emotion or welcome inspiration.

And connection to your purpose — in business or life. The kind of inner knowing that says, “This is what I’m here for.”

My textured paintings are built with layers of meaning — literally. I use repurposed fabrics, surfboard fibreglass, even teabag paper — materials that carry stories. Each piece captures the soothing rhythm and movement of the sea, helping you feel its presence wherever you are.

In my workshops and retreats, I guide others to tap into that same sense of flow. Not to “make perfect art,” but to express something true, and walk away feeling reconnected.

And through Hyli Empowered, I mentor women ready to leave behind the noise and build something meaningful — something aligned with who they truly are.

This is more than art. It’s more than business. It’s a practice of returning — again and again — to what truly matters.

To connection.

If this resonates, I’d love to welcome you into my world — through a painting, an experience, or a powerful conversation.
