My Cornwall Seascape Paintings: A Visual Journey Along the Coastline

I was asked recently why I paint, why Cornwall and the Ocean?  So I thought I would sit down with a cup of tea on a rainy day in Cornwall and tell you.

My main aim for all my Cornwall seascape paintings is to showcase the mesmerising beauty and ever-changing moods of the sea. From tranquil horizons bathed in golden sunlight to turbulent waves crashing against rugged cliffs, I aim for each artwork to capture the essence of Cornwall's long-standing allure.

Painting a Commission

I use every brushstroke to tell the story of the place I am studying, inviting you to explore the hidden coves, sandy beaches, and dramatic seascapes that have inspired not only me, but generations of artists. With each painting I try to bring to life the unique charm and character of Cornwall's coastal regions, each painting working as a testament to the region's timeless beauty.  Using texture and re-purposed objects and items helps me to infuse the piece with elements from the location I am studying.  The texture creating the illusion of the wave rolling off the canvas, bringing it to life in your home.
