This piece links the two distinct styles that I work in, shorelines and surf art. Using my drone to view this secret surf break from above, I watched the waves lap at the golden shoreline and the few ‘in the know’ surfers excitedly catching the sets rolling in.
I have used sand and sea salt in the paint to build the texture in this piece, using sand from the actual beach for the golden sand on the beach.
