My favourite swimming spot in Cornwall, Mother Ivey’s Bay just outside of Padstow. This painting captures a day I will never forget, one of the hottest days of the year, the water the most vivid turquoise I’ve ever seen. Spending the whole day swimming and lazing in the sun.

The 3D depth in the rocks in this piece are created using sand from the bay, and the waves crafted from upcycled fibreglass offcuts from surfboard manufacturing. Enabling the surfboard shaper to one step closer to zero waste.
