Daymer Bay is a swimmers haven. Being situated at the start of the Camel Estuary just round from Polzeath, it sees very little swell and at high tide on a summers day is like a lagoon. This piece is based on many memories of moments spent swimming in the bay at high tide, heading round along the rocks below Brea Hill. Sea swimming keeps me grounded, connected to the ocean, I cherish every moment I get to spend floating in it, particularly at this stunning part of Cornwall. I have built the texture in the rocks in this piece using sand mixed into the eco acrylic paint.
