Private Creative Sessions
One-to-one creative support for children who love to create.
These private creative sessions are designed for children who love art — whether they’re wanting additional tuition in art, home educated, neurodivergent, or simply flourish better outside a traditional classroom setting. Each session takes place in my working studio (or in certain circumstances, your home) and is tailored entirely to the child, allowing them to explore materials, ideas and techniques at their own pace, in a calm, supportive environment.
This is not about ticking curriculum boxes or producing perfect outcomes. It’s about nurturing confidence, curiosity and creative expression.

Who these sessions are for
These sessions are particularly suited to:
Home-educated children seeking creative enrichment
Children who love art and want to explore it more deeply
Neurodivergent children who benefit from a quieter, flexible setting
Families seeking high-quality, one-to-one creative tuition
No previous experience is needed — just a curiosity to explore and make.
Each session is led intuitively and adapted to the child’s interests, energy and focus. Over the course of a two-hour session, we may explore:
Painting, texture and mixed-media techniques
Colour, composition and layering
Experimentation with materials and mark-making
Developing personal ideas rather than copying set outcomes
Building confidence through creative decision-making
Sessions are relaxed and pressure-free. There is no expectation to “perform”, no grades, and no right or wrong way to create.
All materials are provided.
What happens in a session?
A calm, supportive studio environment
My studio is designed to feel welcoming, creative and unhurried — very different from a classroom setting.
Sessions naturally adapt to each child’s individual needs, including sensory preferences, focus levels and communication style. Parents are welcome to discuss any specific considerations in advance so sessions feel supportive from the outset.

"We had the pleasure of welcoming Gemma to our home for a 2 hour 1-1 art workshop with our son. Gemma arrived at our home with all of the materials, paints, coverings and enthusiasm we were hoping for. Gemma was enthusiastic, friendly and encouraging, and what was produced in the two hour session was nothing short of incredible. We would throughly recommend Gemma for workshops and we look forward to joining her for another one, one day soon. Thanks Gemma , you are a wonderfully talented artist and Teacher! A direct quote from our son:“ I loved learning with Gemma. I particularly liked how we mixed sand from the beaches with the paint, and moulded the fabric to make the textured waves. Gemma was patient and friendly and I felt so proud of what we created in our lesson. She has inspired me to experiment with different textures in my pictures and to be confident in my own ideas. Thank you Gemma , I’m excited to do more workshops with you”. "
